Dearest all, mum Dad Olga Iride
As you can see we are having another stopover in this city in Arabia, which allows us to send you our news. Up till here all is good, we don’t even know what sea sickness is, I have a good appetite as if I were on land and this is already enough to be thankful for. Mind you no one else has been ill because the seas have been calm.
Now after Aden we head to Fremantle in Australia which will be the first port after14 days of sea and sky and no land: we will cross the Indian Ocean. After Fremantle, Melbourne

for five or four days after which the voyage is over having lasted only 28 or 29 days and not 45 as many other voyages take. This is a very fast ship compared to others.
And now tell me, how are you all? I was worried that you weren’t feeling well mum, I hope you are better now.

This is to receive just one letter because after stopping at that port we can receive your mail but after that we proceed for 5 or 6 days to Melbourne.
I wrote to you all from Messina, not from Malta but a post card from Port Said. I hope you have received all the mail.
